Tera Mujhse Hai Pehle Ka Naata Koi,
Yun Hi Nahin Dil Lubhata Koi,
Jaane Tu… Ya Jaane Na

Yes, you are right that I am also bitten by “Jaane Tu” bug ( to be more specific, the “Genelia” bug :-) ). Hmmm… I don’t think, from now onwards, people will remember this as an old melody and composition which lives beyond time. But, while trying to find the lyrics of the old original song, I ended up doing a google search which threw the links of this movie on every damn page.

A nice sweet, cute movie which is good and clean. There are No villains, No superheros(that even hero denounces the fights and befriends opposition :-) ), No vamps, No fight scenes, No Maa-Behen drama, No “Mera baap chor hai” scenes, No romancing around the trees, No Item Number etc etc etc. I Mean to say this movie is good because it does not have any bollywood masala… It is just a cute and clean movie to watch at home which implicitly brings a smile to your face.

“Pappu can’t dance, Saala” has got that anthemic feel to it. I could hear people referring to each other as “pappu” in office. Now, I think its time to give Aamir an award for keeping up the spirits and giving his viewers what they actually wish to watch. The movie is made in a very simple way with no special effects or camera tricks. It looks like that it is your school or college life. It just brings a nostalgic feeling while watching the movie. there are ample scenes, which bring smile to your face and its too late before you realize that you are actually smiling and feeling that you are a part of this movie.

The cast of the movie is the right fit for their respective roles. Jayant Kriplani was seen in a movie after a long time. Kitu Gidwani was looking as gorgeous and hot as ever. Rajat Kapoor was okay. The best part was Naseerudin Shah and Ratna Pathak Shah. Ratna conversing with Naseer (framed and hung on a wall) :-). Arbaaz and Sohail were okay. Paresh Rawal, what to say about him, you can laugh even if he doesn’t utter a single word and here he goes in this movie calling Ratna as “Champa”.

Imraan has done a good job. In these times of six packs, here comes a guy who is close to reality and is a mama’s boy in the movie.

“Genelia” - ahhhh…. she is just too cute, lovely, sweet, gorgeous, cootchie-mootchie , and what not. Yes, Guys, I liked her. Ofcourse, she is just so adorable in the movie. She is so natural self that I didn’t feel that she was trying to act. It looked like that she is flowing naturally, like a river. In a particular scene, where she reacts to the marriage with “Jai” by saying “Chhiiiiiiii” :-) is just too good. Ahhh.. i am just bitten by her bug. and it will take a while to fade away…

All in All, a movie worth watching. You might think of buying this movie for collection. ofcourse and obviously, These kind of movies are made once in a blue moon and they are worth collecting.

Celebrity Stardom and Virtual cat fights…

Unfortunately, I stumbled upon Amitabh Bachchan’s blog today while doing some search on google. and out of curosity, ended up spending some time on his posts…

It was actually ridiculous to find how Amitabh has reacted and ended up having a virtual quarrel with a guy over some kind of charity done by Amitabh. Whereas, this guy reminded amitabh of his duties towards the society, and his role being a celebrity, Amitabh went on explaning his acts of charity even by mentioning dates and amounts and bank accounts and locations..

I had always learnt from my elders when they used to say “Neki kar dariya mein dal” (do the act of charity without any mention and forget about it). But Seems like Amitabh is agitated that there is no publicity done for his charity work. It seemed by his posts that he was desparate to prove that he is the best citizen of this country.

This guy who asked questions to amitabh through his comments on Amitabh’s posts, seemed like that it infuriated Amitabh and Amitabh vent out his anger on this guy by one whole post blasting him here and there mentioning his charity works. and then, goes on , in the next post, posting his transaction details about charity.

And I always used to think that wisdom comes to a man by age… but Amitabh seems to be proving it opposite. He seems to prove that “Neki kar aur media mein dal” (do the act of small charity and get it published to the whole world). May be, that’s why they call it “sathiyana” in hindi (going crazy after the age of sixty :-) ).

I am not trying to analyze any behavior of any celebrity or their reactions but then, I always think charity gets its true meaning when you do it from your heart and not for publicity or media pressure…

Anyway, its Amitabh’s life and he knows well how to handle it. ofcourse, being a star, he is used to media and publicity and may be that’s why he likes reactions… May be he should try his luck in politics again.. :-)

By the way, if these are the norms of charity what Amitabh is doing, then seems that Mother Teresa and Matama Gandhi just did nothing for society because they did the work from the core of their heart and not for any publicity. They sacrificed their lives for people and not just donated few lakhs to get media attention..

Anyway, Carry on the cat fight, Amitabh. It really reflects your persona in reality to the public who think of you in high esteem. It actually depicted that Stars and Stardom is all fake and stars are nothing but publicity hungry
