Isn’t that the appropriate name for the movie? cuz’ Joker (Heath Ledger) is the one who seems to be the protagonist. or might be he was the actual dark knight.

As The Joker says to Batman, “Why would I want to kill you? What would I do without you? You complete me.” So he taunts Batman, “You’re just like me—a freak.”

This Joker is real phenomenon. He is beyond life and death. He is the complete man, a man with a calm mind. A man who has the power to turn everything upside down. Isn’t he very close to real life people? Isn’t he similar to so called “Jehadis” (terrorists).

The joker has a high degree of sadism which has taken him to another level. Batman struggles in the movie to keep up to Joker. Batman keeps on failing in his attempts to locate this Joker. and when he gets him, he is unable to intimidate this joker as the joker replies “you have nothing to frighten me with”.

The joker is revealing the dark side of humanity. The Joker wants Batman to choose chaos as well. He knows humanity is what you lose while you’re busy making plans to gain power.

The voice modulation of heath ledger has given him immortality. Heath has left this world with one of his finest performances with a bone chilling tone of his voice. “Hello Beautiful” can be told in a dark and spine chilling way also which made Rachel numb.

The joker burns the huge pile up of currency to show that he does not work for money and he does not work for any materialistic needs. He just demolishes everything because he enjoys doing it. And this is mentioned by Alfred (batman’s butler) “Some men just want to watch the world burn”.

The joker is off the human scale. He is beyond the cause of human existence.

In short, a nice movie to watch. it is worth the bucks spent (including the money spent on burger and Coke ).
